Winter Woes
Winter can be freezing, not only in a physical sense but mentally as well. Brain fog, fatigue and body aches make me want to hibernate all winter long like a bear. I am very much a spring-and-summer girl!
I did a couple of illustrations recently. My hands were a bit cramped from crocheting, so I took a little break.
I have redecorated parts of my room and organized my work space to be more efficient. I fully believe a cluttered space results in a cluttered mind. I've put my crafting supplies in readily-accessible drawers and cleared out a lot of waste.
At some point, I'll be crocheting more and taking pictures of my finished works. I have some recent crafts I've done that I'd like to photograph, but I will save them for another day.
Blogging in 2025
For a while I thought that personal blog sites were a dying art form. Coming across old ones always feels like I've found someone's scrapbook tucked away in the shelves of the Internet. When you flip through them, the pages are often decorated with their favorite colors, life stories, photos, and so on.
I figured most people moved onto posting their blogs to social media out of convenience. But perhaps personal blog pages are still a thing! In fact, it seems there's been a resurgence of them. I've been searching for crochet ideas recently and found several active crafting blogs, all hosted on their own sites instead of Facebook or Instagram.
Finding them has inspired me to try starting my own. I want mine to have a "scrapbook" look and feel as home-made as the crafts I create. I also want to use this blog to improve my writing. I seldom write anymore and I've become rusty.
I'd like to improve on a lot of things. Writing is just one of them. Hopefully starting a blog will help me.
